The most mature and widespread applications of hydrogen can be found in the field of transportation - from forklifts, cars, buses and trains, ships to airplanes and space rockets. The development of this technology will be supported by EU funds, which has focused on hydrogen in its energy transition strategy.
About 90 percent of hydrogen is produced and used in the fertilizer and refining industries. Hydrogen is also produced as a by-product in the chemical industry. The future lies in producing hydrogen from renewable sources - primarily by electrolysis, but also by biomass gasification
Only 15 percent of global hydrogen production is used off-site and transported as compressed gas or cryogenic liquid. This implies investment in infrastructure - from storage, pipeline transmission to liquefaction or transport as compressed gas.
Hydrogen valleys are regional ecosystems. The development will be based on the local production of hydrogen, which is transported over short distances. The basis is local demand based on the production of energy from renewable sources. This changing perspective will include education, research and development, implementation and industrial applications.

The first hydrogen-powered recreational boat has been built in Szczecin. QUIET POWER will be presented during the 2023 SAILS event
It can fit 5-6 people and has a modern design. Eco-friendly composites and modern technological solutions were used in its production. Most importantly, however, it is the first boat in the world to be powered by a hydrogen-electric engine. The technology was developed by the mPower company from Szczecin. QUIET POWER is a project like no other in Poland or the world. The ceremonial presentation of the boat, combined with its christening, will take place on August 19, 2023 during the 2023 SAILS event.

The QUIET POWER is a boat that is absolutely unique. This project is unique in the world. This is the first motorized recreational boat powered by a hydrogen-electric engine. The motorboat is six meters long and is able to carry 6 people at the same time, and the entire boat was made in accordance with the highest environmental standards.
The christening of the QUIET POWER will take place on August 19, 2023 during the 2023 SAILS event. It will be attended by the President of Szczecin Piotr Krzystek. We will announce the exact time and place of the event in a separate news release.
